Feeling the love! The beginning of this weeks 365 project were photos I took in France after the wedding. Now I am back home and really enjoying all the wonderful memories we are left with from such an amazing two weeks. It really has gone too quick! Thank goodness for the hundreds of photos we have seen already. So this is my week in a nut shell:
Tuesday 7th May 2013 – This is a couple of my friends – Charles and Tilly. They came over to the house in France to pick up the empty beer barrel and chiller that they very kindly brought all the way from Canterbury to Provence for our wedding! Charles owns several amazing pubs in Canterbury which used to be my locals when I lived there. If you’re ever in Canterbury you must visit the Old City Bar. :)
Wednesday 8th May 2013 – Last week, I took a photo of Janine… The amazing woman who helped us organise our wedding. On Wednesday last week she came over to say goodbye to us just before we left to go home. Her lovely children came too – Juliette and Loïc. This is the very handsome Loïc hiding in the bushes. Juliette is equally beautiful but unfortunately was not feeling very well.
Thursday 9th May 2013 – En route home, this is Sarah with the cliffs near Dieppe behind her. For some reason, I love landscapes but I always find them more interesting when a person is involved – especially seascapes. I think this is very contemplative.
Friday 10th May – Back to Brighton! There’s no place like home. :) Not really feeling too much post holiday or post wedding blues. I love my life here and there is no need to feel sad. I went for a wander before catching up on my emails – a nice gentle return to work. This is Barry who I often see outside a shop called Across the Tracks Records I have thought several times that I should ask him if I can take a photo or two. Once he got talking he didn’t stop! A very nice man with lots of interesting stories to tell.
Saturday 11th May 2013 – Two and a half weeks without putting my roller skates on! So I was very pleased to find out that some of my derby pals were getting together for a skate. Afterwards I went over to Mogs house to pick up our lovely new rabbit Harley (a bunny who, like several other rescue animals, has come to live with us in Portslade) So this portrait is of Mog’s very nice husband – Pete in their garden. Mog and Pete have been looking after Harley whilst we were away in France. Such a lovely couple. :)
Sunday 12th May 2013 – I went over to meet another awesome couple on Sunday – this time to discuss their wedding plans (I am photographing Laura and Dan’s wedding in Ardingly in two weeks time) We had a really nice wander around Ardingly College and their reception venue – the Ravenswood. It was really close to the famous ‘bluebell railway’ and I couldn’t resist hunting down a good bluebell patch to photograph them in. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding – they were so lovely together.
Monday 13th May 2013 – It was my friend Jules’ birthday on Monday so a few of us popped to the pub for a sensible school night drink in Hove. It was lovely to catch up with friends as I hadn’t really got the chance to since the wedding – and that went way too quickly. I took this photo of the beautiful birthday girl on the way to the pub. Happy Birthday Julia Goolia!
That’s it for this week. This has been my 19th week of this years 365 photo a day project. Thanks for looking.
