MY WEEK IN PICTURES – WEEK 43 – STREET

Most days I like to get out into the streets of Brighton to photograph interesting people. This week, as I didn’t have a wedding to photograph at the weekend, I decided to make street my theme. I set myself the rule of taking no more than ten minutes to look for a stranger to take a couple of photos of. In Brighton, that’s easy. The first five photos of this post are around the town that I live in. The last two are in the streets of Cyprus! I flew out to Pathos on Sunday – the purpose of my visit is to photograph the wedding of lovely Sarah and Joe. Next week’s blog will give a sneak peek. But for now, back to this week:

Tuesday 22nd October 2013 – This is Leah, photographed on the same street as my studio. I love her style. She recommended a few cool blogs for me to look at, of photographers that do similar 365 projects.

Wednesday 23rd October 2013 – This is Ali, I spotted her near the level in Brighton, she was out for a walk with her daughter. I’m sure I’ve spotted her before in Brighton. Glad that I saw her today as, although the light was beautiful, it was windy as hell and I was getting quite chilly wandering around.

Thursday 24th October 2013 – This is Michael. I only took one photo of him and this is it. He told me that I would need to give him lots of money if I become famous. That seems fair.

Friday 25th October 2013 – This is Alan and his friend is called Ginger. I had quite a nice little conversation with them both. A bit odd.

Saturday 26th October 2013 – This is Lee and his daughter. I was stood chatting with a couple of friends on Kensington Gardens when I saw him walk past. You don’t see too many proper prams like these about anymore, especially with cool dungarees wearing men pushing them.

Sunday 27th October 2013 – Cyprus! It’s warm! And delicious! Here on a four day whistle stop tour and it 27 degrees and sunny. A long day travelling but went for a quick walk along the harbour at sunset. I spotted this guy who seemed a little suspicious of why I wanted to photograph him (not in Brighton anymore!) Didn’t catch his name.

Monday 28th October 2013 – No so many streets today, more rocky dirt tracks, goats and tourist spots. This is Amanda who is one of the bridesmaids at Sarah and Joe’s wedding tomorrow. I can’t wait for the wedding!
