This post is to show my 20th week of my photo a day project. One thing I love about my job is the amount of variety I have from meeting different people – no two days are the same. This week, I have mainly been editing my latest wedding and engagement shoot which I hope to do some full blog posts on in the not too distant future. In between being sat at my desk, I have tried to get out to spend a little time on my photo a day… It can be tricky though when I haven’t got much time on my hands! Please get in touch if you can save me time and would like to feature on next weeks blog… :)
Tuesday 14th May 2013 – This is our newest addition to our family, Harley. He is a rescue rabbit we have taken on who has so far chewed through the cables on three lamps, chewed all of the buttons off our TV remote and weed on the sofa. I took this photo shortly after he discovered this lavender… which he also likes to chew. Naughty rabbit! Think we may need to get him a friend to rescue him from boredom!
Wednesday 15th May 2013 – On my way home from the studio on Wednesday, I stopped off at the seafront for a stroll on the beach. The light was lovely and there was a nice breeze. I spotted Clare, with her bike on the beach and grabbed this silhouette of her.
Thursday 16th May 2013 – I took a break from the editing on Thursday to stroll through the North Laine in Brighton. I was looking for someone to feature as my photo of the day and bumped into my hairdresser, Siobhan. She was outside Peewees handing out flyers (and enjoying the sunshine!) She said that she doesn’t normally like herself in photos so I took that as a challenge to get one she liked! Hope she likes this. :)
Friday 17th May – This is my friend Chrissie who was down from London visiting Brighton for the weekend. I met up with her on Friday evening for a friends birthday meal. I had such a long day editing on Friday, I hadn’t had the chance to go out looking for someone to photograph so it was lovely of Chrissie to be up for it. It was starting to get dark and time was limited but we snuck down some of the side alleys in the lanes to get a few shots. Sorry for making you sit on a grubby pavement Chrissie!
Saturday 18th May 2013 – On Saturday, I had the pleasure of second shooting for lovely Lisa Devlin again. We went up to Eastnor Castle in the Malvern Hills to photograph the wedding of Christina and Richard. It was an incredible wedding – Christina had two costume changes during the day! Just before we left, Christina asked if we could get a couple of photos of her in her third outfit of the day – An amazing Jenny Packham dress. We went to the bridal suite and I captured this photo showing the beautiful back detail of the dress, not to mention how fantastic she looked in it.
Sunday 19th May 2013 – Having stayed overnight after the wedding, Lisa and I travelled back to Brighton on Sunday morning. This is a photo of Lisa’s gorgeous daughter Keeva.
Monday 20th May 2013 – Doing a little wander in Brighton’s North Laine is always good for spotting cool Brighton types. On Monday, I spotted Pete Bennett the musician, comedian and winner of the 7th series of the TV show Big Brother. He was sat outside a pub on Gardner street and he seemed pretty up for letting me take a photo of him. :) Nice!
That’s it for this week. This has been my 20th week of this years 365 photo a day project. Thanks for looking.
